Campi Protetti Pivetti is the brand that represents our certified soft wheat supply chain, officially certified by the international organization CSQA.
Campi Protetti Pivetti,
a concrete project
In 2016, our certified and carefully controlled supply chain was born, embodying our commitment to excellence in raw materials: exclusively selected wheat grown in the provinces of Bologna, Modena, and Ferrara, renowned for producing the finest soft wheat. Close collaboration with farmers remains the cornerstone of the entire project, built on a foundation of listening, dialogue, and a commitment to adhering to our production guidelines. In 2022, we took another significant step forward: the beginning of the digitalization process of our supply chain.
Campi Protetti Pivetti,
a sustainable project
Since 2018, the certified Campi Protetti Pivetti supply chain has taken a step toward sustainability through the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study on CO₂ emissions from various farms. In 2019, the equivalent CO₂ emissions recorded amounted to 0.546 kg per kilogram of flour. Starting in 2022, with the digitalization of the Campi Protetti Pivetti supply chain through the xFarm Analytics platform, we have been able to conduct even more precise analyses. This has allowed us to address potential challenges and achieve a new sustainability milestone: 0.490 kg of equivalent CO₂ emissions per kilogram of flour produced. The result? The creation of our Sustainable Agriculture flour line, paving the way for a better future.
100% Emilian flours
To produce the finest flours, you need the finest wheat… and to grow the finest wheat, you need the finest land.
With the professional flour line Gran Riserva and the home-use flours from the Sustainable Agriculture and Gran Riserva lines, we welcome you to the fields of the Campi Protetti Pivetti supply chain, born from the hands of a rich farming tradition.
Why choose products from the
Campi Protetti Pivetti supply chain:
Only the Best Farmers
In compliance with the Campi Protetti Pivetti guidelines, our agronomists select only the most qualified farmers from the provinces of Ferrara, Bologna, and Modena—regions renowned for cultivating the finest soft wheat in Italy. Each farmer signs the guidelines and, by adhering to strict criteria, receives a premium above conventional farming standards.
Only Selected Varieties
The wheat is cultivated following the farming practices outlined in the Campi Protetti Pivetti guidelines, using exclusively the varieties listed in the positive selection of Campi Protetti Pivetti. This ensures the production of superior-quality flour.
Only Qualified Land
Only land far from sources of pollution and near flowering strips is selected, enriched according to the precise instructions of our qualified technicians. Every fertilization operation is meticulously recorded in the Field Notebook, in full compliance with the guidelines.
Only Controlled Treatments
Farmers perform treatments only when strictly necessary, using exclusively products authorized by the guidelines. Each intervention is documented in the Field Notebook to ensure transparency and traceability.
Only Compliant Wheate
Molini Pivetti agronomists regularly visit farms to assess compliance with the guidelines. Any non-conformity detected results in the wheat being downgraded from Campi Protetti Pivetti to conventional, ensuring the highest quality standards.
Only High-Quality Raw Materials
Compliant wheat is stored in our storage facilities, preserved using cold technology to maintain its integrity. Each batch is thoroughly analyzed to ensure its safety, quality, and traceable origin.
Supply chain certifications
Since its inception, CSQA has certified the value of our supply chain, initially guaranteeing the Emilian origin of the flours produced under the Campi Protetti Pivetti brand. In 2018, CSQA further validated their sustainability following a detailed study of CO₂ emissions across every stage of the product’s lifecycle. This certification underscores our commitment to a supply chain approach based on the three pillars of sustainability—environmental, economic, and social—aligned with the DTP 112 standard.
Our Supply
We collaborate with the largest Italian and international food companies on sustainable and organic supply chain projects. One example is Barilla’s Carta del Molino, for which we also directly manage part of their sustainable wheat (about 20% of the total processed for this project), respecting its dictates.
